Objectives

Amongst other aims, our constitution seeks to foster a greater awareness of the Turners’ Art & Craft, and to promote the art of Woodturning amongst both Woodturners and the General Public.  Consequently we have held, and will in the future, hold public demonstrations and exhibitions. In recent years we have had a presence at the local Campsie Show, the Creative Craft Show at the SECC and the Lanark Fruit Fair. At these venues we have presented members items of work, performed practical demonstrations and members of the public were encouraged to try turning and make some small items to take away.

At various times we have been invited to participate in various woodland related events, where we demonstrate woodturning, and give hands-on experience.
